Hey,

This is very interesting question. There are numerous ways to that can help you in decreasing spam score. Here are some of best practices suggested by Google to reduce Spam score,

  • Make sure all your pages on the site can be reached
  • Provide a sitemap file with links added in it
  • Check for right HTTP header

Sorry mate but your advice will not help in this situation. You don't have to have a sitemap, Blocked pages and bad http headers don't affect moz spam score.

The Spam Score is a Moz metric.  It is directly affected by "Link Building".

1.  Stop your link building.

2.  Go and analyze your backlinks and remove the ones from bad sites that you put links on.  It is these sites that are making your spam score this high.

Most folks don't really understand the difference between bad sites and good sites.

If anyone can leave a link on a site, then that site really isn't going to help rank your site. In fact those sites will just make your spam score even higher.

Since you have access to Moz Pro then follow these directions....

Now after you fix this I would suggest you go and learn to properly build links.

check for all your spam links, make a notepad containing all your Spam links in it.

Now follow 2 things to make the process fast

1st put the spam links file to google Disavow links - search this on google - from here you ask google to remove these links from the backend for your site then 2nd open the links one by one with your id and password and remove the listing of your website from there, you will see the result soon

Note: it may also effect your ranking for a period of time but gradually it will be fine if you do good off page work.

thanks 😀
