Having identified your keywords and written relevant content, your titles, headings and sub-headings on any given page will inform Google. That is with a paged site.
With a single page site SEO is not so straightforward because you have a limited opportunity to clarify your site. However, good, relevant page page content together with good titles etc. should help Google.
