Contact information on YMYL sites

Hi

I think this website has a Trust problem, because it does not give good contact information (ie phone #, street address etc).  This is the contact page:

learn-greek-online.com/contact-us.html

The site offers online lessons (payed).  So this is considered YMYL site, right?

Could you please confirm that this is a serious problem and that displaying accurate contact info would greatly improve its rankings?

2.3 Your Money or Your Life (YMYL) Pages:
Shopping: information about or services related to research or purchase of goods/services, particularly webpages that allow people to make purchases online.

Important : For YMYL pages and other pages that require a high level of user trust, an unsatisfying amount of any of the following is a reason to give a page a Low quality rating: customer service information, contact information, information about who is responsible for the website or information about who created the content. For other types of websites, use your judgment.

I don't think one specific change will skyrocket any websites SEO, little factors (like the one you're speaking of) added together, add up to a great website.

E-A-T does not only apply to YMYL websites, a recent update (the MAY 2020 core algorithm update) included E-A-T changes, which hit businesses incredibly hard who of which do not fit into the YMYL niches - so it's now everybody's problem!

I do think your website is seriously lacking in trust signals.

- No socials
- No contact information
- No address
- No copyright
- Your privacy is hidden in the nav

I've spoken about this before, imo, you should be making use of a footer to add important information.

I'd add as much of the list I've written above as possible.

Good advice?

Hi Matt

"Socials" you mean the Social buttons at the bottom of the Contact page I have ( learn-greek-online.com/contact-us.html )?  You mean I should have them in every page, for example on the footer?  This is really easy to do.  I would prefer not to because we are not really active in social media.  Plus it would slow down the page.  But I can do this.

"Copyright", sorry, what you mean, why do I need this?  I've seen competitors copy my text and ideas.  What can a "copyright statement" do about this?

"Privacy", it is in the menu, I have not hidden it.  I have way more important stuff on the top level menu.  I could put it in the footer.

Matt is correct here,
You have some options in your navbar which really belong in a footer. These are not items that make the site function which is what the navbar is for.

All information type pages should really be within a footer area of your site. These header and footer areas should be visible on all pages within your site including the ask-greek pages.

One big issue I found when using the site is once you goto ask greek there is no way back to the main site. The navbar and footer should be always visible regardless of where the user navigates to.

Your home page is missing valuable link juice but not following this standard structure.
As for is the site a YMYL site, no it's not, I honestly think a lot of quick wins could be done via getting the structure and boilerplate areas correct to allow pagerank to flow correctly.

Hello Chedders

Which items do I move to the footer, besides the "Privacy"?

The big problem with my site is that the MAIN comercial site is a joomla site. The ask-greek forum is a separate script (this one: https://www.question2answer.org/). I would not know how to integrate them under one menu. I don't know if it can be done.

You CAN return to the main site from the forum. On the right hand side the are a couple of links, like :
"- Online Greek Lessons, via Zoom -"

You still think so, after I told you I have a couple of links back to the main site?

You sure it is not YMYL?  But we sell services, we charge for them.  We are a shopping site:

Hi guys

I followed yor suggestions, rearranged the pages, enriched the footer and added phone# and street address in the contact page.  Care to comment?

Your site does not fall into YMYL sites, just taking payment is not enough for that.

Your Money or Your Life (YMYL) content is the type of information that, if presented inaccurately, untruthfully, or deceptively, could directly impact the reader's happiness, health, safety, or financial stability. In other words, the stakes are high for this type of content.

I understand. In my latest post I asked if I corrected the structural mistakes I had before, if I enhanced the TRUST signals.

Hello I have not put the Socials yet. However all the rest are fixed since last week: - No contact information - No address - No copyright - Your privacy is hidden in the nav For example the privacy is in the footer, not in the nav bar.
