Google Search SEO issue on Wordpress site

Hello,

I hope someone is able to help or guide me the right way.

I’ve been using Yoast SEO plugin for the website (https://alphaplussports.co.uk/), but recently noticed the site title and meta description are not showing properly on Google search. When searched on Google with company name (Alpha Plus Sports) it shows the main title link and meta description in different language.

I have followed all the steps regarding regarding SEO techniques but still not able to resolve the issue.

Your Title and Meta Description is only advisory. Google will change them based on the query provided by the user. That is why you're seeing different text to the ones you originally implemented.

Good advice?

Saw you post and I got curious. Your site may be compromised !

Either Google has made a tremendous blunder, which it does on occasion or you have a compromised site.

Too many sites with the same "Title" being displayed !

Pay close attention here.....

This is the title your site is showing in the serps....

Now with the use of Google translate....

Now when searching for this Japanese content on Google.

Let me also add this  WARNING !

This advice is correct. I didn't look at your site as this question is asked over and over, and Google does change your title/description whenever they please. This is a common wordpress spammy hack, consider using a security plugin and/or asking a PHP professional to take a look at your site.

Hello, Thank you for your reply. What you do you suggest I do? Restart the whole website again? or is there any other way to resolve this issue? look forward to your reply.

You have a couple of choices....

  1. Restore your site from backup, you did make a backup, right ?. Then immediately fix any security holes. Update the server, update WP, update any and all plugins.
  2. Hire out the cleaning of the site. Then install a security plugin.

You could actually make use of their services  https://sucuri.net/

( I am not affiliated with this site, but I do recommend them ).

Unfortunately, there is not backup for the website. Seems like only option is to restart the website again. The website, and plugins were updated regularly. not sure how the issue happened.

Backups are a most important part of maintaining a website, especially for instances when a site has been compromised.

Most hosting providers do offer daily backups. Generally this cost around $ 2.00 USD per month and it's cheap insurance when you think about.

Wish you luck in your endeavor restoring the site.
