Massive Traffic Drop Over Night

35k Wordpress Website

Typically gets million sessions a month

Traffic drop was 90% day over day

No manual action indicated

No change in robots.txt, meta robots or removal requests

A few recently added WP plug ins (Nitropack) but it has been disengaged

Only action was to remove ~4500 tag pages.

These tag pages had no traffic - ever and the articles they linked to were low authority /. no authority pages that received no traffic in 18 months.

If you're doing any link building, " STOP ".

I would undo the removal of the pages. Let the site sit a week or two and see if traffic comes back.

Then we can proceed with further analysis.
