Not good in GoogleMaps

I used a third-party tool (SEMRush) to give me a comparison against competitors that I see ranking for similar keywords as our site. It’s showing me as the clear winner in most categories of traffic. but not showing in Google maps (3 pack). So the resulting is our site shows organically in top position but 4th Positing in Google maps.
We have targeted 17 locations, for that we created pages for each location including location wise and service wise page (URL) with unique content.

My main concerned locations are NCY (Manhattan), Philadelphia as we are in 4th positions here but need to get at least in 3 packs in Google maps, apart from this we are in 2nd positions in Boston locations but not top with our main targeted keyword.

I didn't mention the basic steps that we already follow for maps listing but here are the following the are initiations that we are following religiously.

sharing our the blogs in GMB so they appear in the brand’s knowledge panel as I believe that helps with rankings.

Also added additional images to the listings to show Google they are continually being updated.

In addition to my outreach, I am also focusing outreach to get placement in resource sections, as well as reach out to sites that “mention” us, but do not link to us.

On page

a physical address is displayed prominently. I am currently embedding all of the address information via JSON for the search engines to parse, also add it to the page for user experience.

The “Programs” available are shown near the top to give a quick understanding of the services provided. So I have my location + service pages that can link to, which is even better than others (i.e., non geo-specific).

I have a section that includes driving directions and details about parking.

My locations page presents an alumni testimonial on the page to build trust

Our staff listed on the location pages including a brief blurb about each person with their picture (with the full bio to remain on the bio page).

I list upcoming events and announcements on the page.

A tool I have been using of late to give me better insight into how Google may see my pages is

But one technique I have used in the past is to increase the textual content about the location itself, this gives a stronger relationship between service & location.

Including schema is a great idea though, that leaves Google in no doubt what the pages are about. Don't just look at adding location schema, there are others that may be of use. On your people's pages, for example, you can add schema for the people being displayed. You can also add schema about the product/service too.

Although I am not a huge fan of reviews, I have had some success with getting uses to leave google reviews. I think Google take these more seriously as its harder for the webmaster to spam these with made-up reviews

Without looking at the site though I am afraid I can only offer general thoughts, if you wanted to share the site I am sure someone can give it more detailed thought.

We are happy with the exiting results as we are on top 3 positions in Google maps in most of the locations, see below organic statics Compared with previous days Organic traffic 30 Day 24.76 (9.5k) 60 Day 29.33% 90 Day 28.11% 180 Day 38.11% 365 Day 78.28% Apart from this, we are also tracking their phone calls and we are improving on it day by day. My question is, I am getting ranked in the top 3 positions in Google Maps for "My main keyword NY" "My main keyword New York" "My main keyword in NY" "My main keyword in New York " "My main keyword in Manhattan" "My main keyword Manhattan" And it is good but our site got 4th positions in Google Maps for "My main keyword NYC" "My main keyword in NYC" Same for the Philadelphia My 3rd concerned as we are top 2nd positions in Google maps with "My main keyword Boston" and "My main keyword in Boston" but we wanted to get ranked on top..... Anyway thank you Chadders for your insightful including review which I believe but it is not in my hand and the we don't want a fake review, and I sure Google might be able to track this, for schema my team is working on it and I will look at your suggested link, later on, I sure that will work' I can understand this, as I am giving you generic information so I can't get specific suggestions but I can't share the site name in public domain. If you allow me then I can send you PM. I want to get these results because I am more concerned than anyone else including colleagues/team etc.... As I believe that we need to complete ourself, I know we are getting leads or calls but if we get these terms on top or top 3 in Google maps then it will give us more phone calls and leads then now.

Thank you Chadders, This link helped and we are getting rank in top 3 for Google maps. We did following things 1) Fix some inconsistent data ( wrong address) 2) Create links through outreach for locations pages 3) Built new citations including niche oriented citations

Benefits of Google Maps ; It creates better relationship with your customers. It helps with research process.Google Maps helps to access your target audience. Its a good convenient and comfortable experience.
