Backlinks and Ranking

I see that my website is losing backlinks continuously as per ahrefs data. How do I stop this... is the reason why my ranking is not stable ???

For industry websites, like cryptocurrency does it matter for the date to be recent to rank.

I see that the date only changes not the content at all .. please can anybody help me in understanding ??
